Let's visit Cairo of the 1920s, a place where Egyptian Jews defended Egyptian independence and identity, like Ya'qub Sanu', built strong Sephardic community centers like René Qattawi, and some even supported both Zionism and Egyptian Nationalism like Mourad Farag. Jews were an inseparable part of the Cairene social scene and this tour will take you through the places and ideas that convulsed through this incredibly dynamic world.
